Mineral Makeup Foundation - Jennifer Shade

I have very pale, oily, sensitive skin with a neutral skin tone and rosacea. I always have trouble finding foundation that is pale enough, and even more trouble finding one that is pale enough (without being too pink) AND does not irritate my skin AND controls the oiliness. I have tried delicate and dewy, and they both check off all boxes. At first it goes on feeling dry, but gets more natural-looking as it sets. It has a natural-looking full coverage but feels like I am not wearing anything. I can actually wear blush now! Usually my rosacea gives me more than enough rosiness (in the wrong places). It lasts pretty much all day, although it does wear off quicker in some places more than others if I do not touch it up after about 12 hours. I like to go kayaking in the summer on the weekends, and this holds up well to the heat and humidity of the south. My husband is glad too know that I have stopped buying a new foundation each week trying to find the one for me. ;) I have been waiting to review this foundation - I have been using it for about 7-8 months now - to see how it held up in all different seasons. The only difference is I put it on with a damp brush in the winter, which gives it a more moisturizing feel to me.

P.S. The information for sensitive skin on this website has been amazing! Trying to research why foundation aggravated my skin is how I found this place to begin with. Thank you! After wearing the Delicate formula, if I tried to wear any of my old makeup, I could tell an instant difference. Whereas before I would think I just had an itchy face, now I realize it was because of what I was putting on it.

I ordered a sample size of the Jennifer and the texture seems to be heavier than the other shade of foundation I bought. It seems to dry my skin out too when I used it. I am not pleased.

Hi Ellen we are sorry you feel there is a difference between the foundation shades since you were very happy with Adonia and your other purchases reflected in your great reviews. Not sure why you are experiencing a difference since the delicate formulas are identical in each shade except for lighter or darker pigments. This is an important concern for you and us as well. We would love to help you if we can. We do suggest using extra moisturizer especially, since in a past review you let us know you are dealing with psoriasis and the makeup was truly beneficial for you. You maybe using a medication, yet we cannot be sure, but psoriasis or medication can cause additional dryness issues depending on a recent flare up. Using a great silicone free moisturizer can help and we suggest before it dries to apply your minerals and this will create a smooth finish without dryness and have the finish you so loved with Adonia that will rival any liquid foundation. Using a bit of pure jojoba oil is fantastic for dry skin and has a balancing pH function. It is what we incorporate into our formulas. If needing additional assistance, we are more than happy to help you with tweaks to achieve the best results that you have come to enjoy with your initial purchase. This foundation is in a class of its own! After many years of searching (I am 45) I have finally found the one that I have been looking for. This goes on like a dream, does not settle in fine lines or pores, stays put all day and actually improves the condition of my skin. When I take it off at night any spots I have got are almost gone, the inflammation and redness has gone down and my pores look more refined. Its a miracle.

My skin is looking fantastic and almost perfect. I have got acne scarring and this softens the scars and they are alot less noticeable with this on. This is as perfect as my skin can get and I am over the moon! Along with the Calm and Refresh face cream my skins starting to settle down and looks great. I am gonna keep on ordering for as long as you make this pot of wonderfulness. (The website has so much information also and I have learned so much about skin care, have a look at it). Thank you!

I bought a sample of this and ordered a full size one straight away. This is the best mineral foundation i have ever tried (and i have tried alot). It is the first one that is comfortable all day, does not make me itch and made a spot smaller and less red after I took it off. If it continues to be this good I will definitely order more. Sun damage big-time. Creases are where most of my age is showing maybe getting fine-lines.

Make-up application moron: too much, applied too fast. With 50 year-old vision. Rosacea. Let’s just say the light doesn’t always play to the benefit of my features (wink*wink) and I’m like Dolly Parton: less is more but more is better. When mineral make up first started showing up and I tried ‘Larenim’, it seemed to me application was key. I was a mineral make-up mess. LOVED the fact that it’d actually be good for my skin, but could never get the hang of it. My fave L’oreal eventually sinks in to my creases. On utube there was a woman who showed how to apply the foundation ‘wet’ and had a link to Sterling Minerals.

LOVE THE SAMPLES. Had you not had samples available I’d have skipped this amazing stuff and missed out on getting to feel I really do look my best. Cannot believe I applied it myself, it’s beautiful! Really glad I came upon that utube clip. A heartfelt Thank You for your wonderful product.

I purchased Jennifer to go with the Adonia foundation. The Jennifer shade is so nice for concealing dark circles and redness because it has a touch of yellow in it. As a redhead I will probably add the Jennifer foundation to the Adonia for Winter time. The application hints on your education page and suggestions you offered to one reviewer were helpful because this foundation is not bareminerals! This foundation is the BEST powder foundation EVER. Love the fact I can wear DEWY! Also, getting the right shade makes all the difference in the world. Go Ageless! Take time to read each description and reviews on the foundation, blush, etc. I would have never picked the shades I did without the help - I am so happy! The sample sizes are an awesome way to try shades and formulas.
