Mineral Makeup Foundation - Fiorella Shade

Mineral Makeup Foundation For Fair Ivory Skin With Hint Of Pink

A soft foundation base that compares to JENNIFER for very fair to light skin that has slight neutral, ivory to pink overtone. This mineral makeup shade is beautiful for a porcelain finish to the face. This skin tone tends to burn easily due to lack of melanin and is common in those of Northern European descent. This foundation shade can be darkened with ADONIA. It can be lightened further by using our MINERAL BASE CLEAR.  This also works wonders as a pre conceal for darker mineral foundation shades. When dealing with acne, scarring or sensitive skin issues, this mineral shade will provide beautiful coverage without added irritating dryness to sensitive skin types.

    Not for imperfect skin

Posted by Rochelle Gee on 4th Jun 2020

After watching tutorial videos on Sterling Minerals makeup, I had some hope that a mineral foundation would finally work on my skin. My skin needs a foundation to even out my uneven tone that has sun damage due to younger years. It has acne scarring and some wrinkles. I have always kept my skin under a doctor’s care, esthetician’s services, and have used very good products most of my life. I prepped my drier skin before using the mineral foundation. I tried both the brush method and the damp sponge (using the toner from SM) method. Neither way worked for me. My skin looked worse showing up lines, creases, wrinkles I don’t normally see without makeup or when using a liquid makeup. I imagine if one has smooth skin, the minerals would work beautifully for them and any slight flawing wouldn’t be detectable. Wish it had worked for me. I will say that the color Fiorella shade matched well on my light skin.

    Our Response:

Hello Rochelle, We realize our foundations will not work for all of our ladies, and depending on skin type and condition, they may not meet your need. Without further detail on the products you use on your skin, it may be your moisturizer is not rich enough if dealing with dry skin or your moisturizer has different forms of silicone which will interfere with good blending and / or adhesion. Be sure to check your ingredient list for silicone and / or silicone derivatives, such as dimethicones, in your moisturizer and see if this could be the problem. Also if using the toner, this works great for pat setting your makeup, however, it will not moisturize and should not just be sprayed on and allowed to set. We always recommend a light pressing with your brush to smooth out texture. Moisturizer is also key for that smooth look, melding of minerals and adhesion. Please checkout our Foundation FAQ for more information and if you require further assistance, we would love to assist you.

Thank you for giving us a try and the feedback is very important to us.

    My favorite

Posted by Deirdre on 11th Nov 2019

I only recently discovered Sterling Minerals but it is now by far my most favorite brand of mineral makeup. I am a 45 year old fair skinned gal with sensitivity issues as well as a tendency to break out and lots of redness. In general I don’t like mineral makeup but it’s the only type that keeps my skin calm. Sterling is the only brand I’ve ever used that is NOT cakey, shiny, or thick. It doesn’t form puddles in my pores or change color. It doesn’t even require a finishing powder. I’m glad I kept searching or else I never would have found this. It’s absolutely perfect in my eyes.

    First time user

Posted by Kathleen Hurlbutt on 8th Sep 2019

I am 65 and have fairly bad acne scars from my teenage years. I have spent my life looking for makeup that would not be too heavy, too light, too oily, wear off in 2 hours, etc. I have used Clinique, Bare MInerals Bare Pro, you name it. Actually, after spending a lot of money, Bare Minerals actually makes my skin break out, and I do not break out normally. I have just tried a couple samples I received from Sterling and after one day am just amazed how long it stays put, and after I take it off, my skin might actually look better!! I am so hopeful that this finally may be the one for me!!

Beautiful color to use as a concealer

Posted by Linda Dunn on 28th Jun 2019

This color is perfect to use as a concealer and to use under my eye shadow. I love the moist method application. I had never used this method for applying mineral makeup until I watched your videos. I have used mineral makeup in the past but Sterling Minerals is a super product.

    Great for concealer!

Posted by Penny on 3rd May 2017

I wear the Adonia shade for my foundation. I got the Fiorella shade for under eyes concealer. They work so well together. I am 59 and the powder does not settle into my creases. I have been a bare minerals fan for years, but they had nothing for aging skin. So glad I found this company. Their customer service is by far the best I have ever had!

Good Coverage - Still Broke Out

Posted by Shannon on 30th Dec 2016

This went on easy and covered my acne scars without concealer but unfortunately I still got a few pimples from this. It irritated my skin as do other powder foundations. I am going to try it again with an IT cosmetics brush which is high quality and see if it makes a difference.

    OUR RESPONSE

Hello Shannon, So sorry our minerals are not quite right for your skin. It is too bad that your skin reacts to powders as a whole. A suggestion would be to make sure you are using an excellent moisturizer without silicones and we also offer excellent synthetic makeup brushes with unsurpassed softness. Perhaps it might make a difference since based on your comment you may think it is the brush you are using. Poor quality brushes can be a cause of problems on skin along with using a brush that may have another makeup still within the bristles. We do thank you for your feedback and sincerely hope you find something that works well for you.
